Declaration on the Shutting Down of the "Königreich Deutschland" organisation by the German government - 2025.05.14

Yesterday, the German authorities have shut down the operations of "Königreich Deutschland", as reported by the magazine Der Spiegel . The SDFM applauds this action against the currently largest Reichsbürger organisation. "Imperial Citizens" deny the existence of the Federal Republic of Germany and want to return to older structures, sometimes historic ones like the German Empire of 1871 and sometimes freely invented ones led by persons marginally or not at all related to the old German nobility. A number of micronations, including the F.M., has rejected this thinking and any cooperation with such organisations in the Chyse declaration.

Nevertheless, the existence and appeal of these "Reichsbürger" organisations opens up a number of questions. It is surely true that their members often have an issue with their limited real life success, leading to an emigration to a fantasy world. But this might be true also for other groups like football fans, extreme sports aficionados, car tuners, the art world and possibly also founders of Micronations. All of those swap lack of recognition in the top levels of society for recognition within a limited circle of persons. From this, one could derive the question if our society might be too competitive, not providing enough recognition for many people. Interestingly, we have found Ethnologic research on right wing groups with a similar character.

A more critical question though is if this kind of "Reichsbürger" emigration and related concepts may become threatening to the existing structures. The SDFM actually believes this may be possible. The "real world" is only separated by a thin line from the "fantasy worlds" mentioned above. Richard McKenna has described this in his seminal parable "Fiddler's Green" - in some sense, the real world, like any fantasy world, is a creation of the minds of people, with the difference being the percentage or number of people believing in its reality. As soon as too many people believe in an alternative world, e.g. by supporting a radical party, that belief world becomes "real". The danger becomes higher the more the "real world" runs into physical (climate) or economical issues. This is currently happening in large parts of the Untied States, and it could be happening in Europe and especially Germany, too. This possibility is not yet understood well enough by many state authorities - unluckily, the more autocratic they are, the better they seem to understand it, reacting accordingly by suppressing any stirring of an alternative world.

The SDFM will watch these developments, supporting the F.M. government in their actions to stabilize the situation and to keep the citizens of the F.M. and related Micronations safe.

Declaration on the Hungarian Survey on EU membership - 2025.03.09

According to various sources, eg Politico , the Hungarian government plans to start a survey on EU membership. Although there seems to be some mixup (it was stated the subject is Ukrainian EU membership, which is of course nonsense to ask), the SDFM supports this plan and hopes for a high participations of Hungarians who will be voting "No" while correcting the voting paper towards Hungarian EU membership.

Declaration on the Ending of Support for Ukraine by the Trump government of the "Untied States" - 2025.03.06

On 2025.02.28, during a publicly broadcast press conference of the Presidents of Ukraine and the "Untied States", President Selenskiy was insulted by D.Trump and J.D.Vance, after which the meeting was ended. As a consequence, the "Untied States" decided to immediately stop weapons delivery and intelligence support to Ukraine, to pressure the country into accepting a "peace" treaty which the "Untied States" are currently negotiating with russia. Some days earlier, the "Untied States" voted in the United Nations not with their former allies, but together with a short list of rogue states, while even authoritarian countries like the P.R. China abstained.

Echoes of this events reverberated around the world, leading to unprecedented decisions regarding funds for rearmament in the E.U. and several European countries and to a realignment of global trust away from the "Untied States".

The Federated Micronations condemn the these decisions of the government of the "Untied States" and pledge to continue to support Ukraine and Europe. They declare a trade blockade against imports from the "Untied States", while exports will only be allowed to recognized States within the territory formerly known as the United States. The official name of the territory as a whole is set to "Untied States" (the quotes being part of the name).

A Special Report on the future direction of the "Untied States" will be prepared, based on the 2017 predictions of the SDFM.

Declaration on the Inauguration of Donald Trump as the President of the Country formerly known as the United States (CfkatUS) - 2025.01.20

In an inexplicable decision, the majority of the voting population of the CfkatUS has decided to reelect a serial liar and criminal to the office of President. The worldwide consequences, especially for climate and nature, but also for humanity, will be dire. In the 8 years since the last Trump inauguration, the world has seen accelerating climate breakdown, a pandemic, an economic crisis, several major wars and rising instability in the remaining democracies. The 2017 predictions of the SDFM have not fully come true, but to a surprisingly large extent, if you add the years after the election of his successor who was not able to control the consequences of Trump's decisions.

The SDFM will work at defining a fitting name for the CfkatUS. We do believe that the current generally used name "United States of America" is factually incorrect, both by claiming unity and by using the name of the continent as state name.

For 2025, we will not make any new predictions at the current time, believing Trump will do his best to work through the 2017 list. The Federated Micronations will try to prepare for the consequences as best as we can, keeping in mind that at any time, an internal or external Black Swan event may lead to a crisis of unknown dimensions.

Addendum - 2025.03.06

The official name of the North American region located between Canada and Mexico is set to "Untied States" by the F.M. Government. All shipments to recognized States located in the territory of the "Untied States" will have to be addressed as "via Untied States".

Declaration on the Recognition of the Independence of Greenland - 2025.01.20

The Federated Micronations unilaterally recognize the Independence of Greenland. Any attempt to dominate Greenland by external pressure, especially from the CfkatUS, will be rejected. The F.M. will continue to support Greenland economically via the Philatelic Support Funds.
